It's the first month of the year! We’ve all set our New Year’s Resolution and it’s now GO GO GO! We’ve all set goals for clean, healthy eating right? =) I’ve been working with members of our 30 DAY Energy Boost this week on meal planning and I thought I would share some basics to help you too!
I can understand, we’re all super busy. We may eat out a lot because we are on the go, go, go. I totally get it! When we have no idea what we’re having for dinner, it usually leads to spending money out and less-than ideal food choices.
I fought making the time for meal planning for the longest time, but once I gave it a try and stuck with it consistently, it made everything much easier and less stressful. I found that I SAVED TIME & MONEY!
3 STEPS TO HELP YOU MEAL PLAN FOR SUCCESS
- DETERMINE YOUR WHY - Meal planning is beneficial in so many ways, but how would it directly affect your life now? How about one year later? Think about the people who are in your life? How would it indirectly affect them if you ate healthier and felt more energized as a result of it?
- CHOOSE YOUR MEAL PLANNING DAY - Pick one day of the week to plan your meals and schedule it into your calendar. This is the first SIMPLE choice you can make for success.
- PLAN YOUR MEALS - Follow through! Take the time to figure out your meals for the week ahead of time, you can definitely eat a LOT healthier without feeling deprived!
When we plan for success in advance, we are not only designing our day, our week, our month, or our year, we are creating the life that we want! When we have a vision of where we want to be and WHY we are committing to something, it can make it easier to make the right choices that can lead to success.
